Delivering High-Speed Connectivity Through a Metro Fiber FTTH Rollout.
In today’s digital economy, access to reliable high-speed internet is no longer a luxury—it is a necessity. At Arcriald Limited, we were engaged to support a large-scale Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) rollout across key metropolitan areas in Lagos, aimed at expanding broadband access and improving network reliability.
The Challenge
The project environment presented several complexities. Dense urban layouts, limited right-of-way access, frequent power interruptions, and community sensitivity to civil works posed major challenges. The client required a solution that would be fast to deploy, resilient, and minimally disruptive to residents and businesses.
Our Approach
Arcriald Limited delivered a full turnkey solution. We conducted detailed route surveys and designed a resilient fiber backbone optimized for urban deployment. Using micro-trenching techniques and efficient ducting strategies, we reduced surface disruption while accelerating installation timelines.
To address power reliability concerns, localized battery-backed systems were deployed at critical nodes, supported by remote monitoring systems for proactive maintenance. Our team also handled regulatory coordination and community engagement, ensuring approvals were secured without delays.
The Outcome
Within nine months, over 50,000 homes were successfully connected to high-speed broadband services. The network delivered average speeds of 200 Mbps, while downtime was reduced by approximately 40% due to improved power resilience. The rollout significantly increased the client’s subscriber base and positioned the network for future expansion.
This project reinforced Arcriald’s capability to deliver complex telecom infrastructure efficiently, even in challenging urban environments.
